Our community provides comprehensive burial (Qabre) benefits to members and their families during the most difficult times. The program includes full coverage of the burial process for local burials and community center rental benefits.
Important: Benefits are available to members current on dues and registration, covering household members including spouse, children, parents, and siblings living at the same address.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be current on dues and registration (current year or previous year)
- Any pending payments must be resolved
- Member must be in good standing with the community
- Death must occur while member is actively enrolled
- Coverage applies to immediate family and household members
Community Center Benefits
- Local Burial (Members): 3 days free rental, then regular pricing
- Local Burial (Non-members): $400 first day, $200 additional days
- Tazia (Members): $300 first day, $100 additional days
- Tazia (Non-members): $400 first day, $200 additional days
- Social Events: $400 first day, $100 additional days
- Social Gatherings: $600 first day, $200 additional days
Required Fees & Deposits
- Cleaning Fee: $300 (non-refundable, paid before renting)
- Damage Deposit: $500 (refundable, by check before renting)
- Smoking Penalty: $400 (if applicable)
- All fees must be paid before rental begins
- Damage deposit refunded after inspection if no damage
- Cleaning fee covers standard post-event cleaning

Who is covered under the burial benefits program?
Coverage includes the member, spouse, children, parents, and siblings living at the same address. Out-of-town visiting parents are also covered.
What if a member dies while traveling in the US?
The Afocha will provide money up to the current burial service rate in Atlanta for burial in the state where death occurred. If the family wants to return the Janaza to Atlanta at their own expense, normal burial service will be provided.
What are the community center rental benefits for burials?
Members get 3 days free rental for local burials, then regular pricing applies. Non-members pay $400 first day and $200 for each additional day.
What fees are required for community center rentals?
Cleaning fee of $300 (non-refundable), damage deposit of $500 (refundable by check), and $400 smoking penalty if applicable. All fees must be paid before rental begins.
What if I'm not current on my dues?
You must be current on dues and registration (current year or previous year) and have no pending payments to qualify for burial benefits.
